Since 2007, ARMEDANGELS has proven that fashion can be different: timeless in design, produced fairly and according to responsible standards for people and the planet – and always thought one step further. However, the existing Shopware setup was holding back growth: high maintenance requirements, critical homepage load times, and limited scalability.

Around 80% of development resources were spent on bug fixing instead of innovation. The goal was clear: build a stable, scalable platform that enables growth instead of slowing it down — both online and with a view toward retail.

Shopify as the
foundation for growth

With Shopify, ARMEDANGELS chose a platform that combines rapid development, high stability, and a strong ecosystem. The objective was to reduce technical complexity, lower the total cost of ownership, and create a system that can keep up with the pace of the brand.

Strong performance with maximum flexibility

We developed a custom theme that closely follows ARMEDANGELS’ existing brand identity while offering a much more dynamic and flexible structure. Content can be updated faster, and new modules can be integrated with ease. At the same time, the team benefits from significantly improved load times.

In parallel, Shopify POS was implemented in the flagship store, creating the foundation for a unified commerce setup across online and retail.
